A Replicator Dynamics Analysis of Difference Evaluation Functions

چکیده
A key difficulty in Cooperative Coevolutionary Algorithms (CCEAs) is the credit assignment problem[1]. One solution to the credit assignment problem is the difference evaluation function, which produces excellent results in many multiagent domains. However, to date, there has been no prescriptive theoretical analysis deriving conditions under which difference evaluations improve the probability of selecting optimal actions. In this paper, we derive such conditions.

In this paper we have tried mention to some sort of thewell-known evolutionary modeling approaches in economic territory such as Multi Agent simulations, Evolutionary Computation and Evolutionary Game Theory. As it has been mentioned in the paper, in recent years, the number of Evolutionary contributions applied to Multi-Agent models increased remarkably. However until now there is no consensus...
متن کاملFurther developments of extensive-form replicator dynamics using the sequence-form representation
Replicator dynamics model the interactions and change in large populations of agents. Standard replicator dynamics, however, only allow single action interactions between agents. Complex interactions, as modeled by general extensive games, have received comparatively little attention in this setting. Recently, replicator dynamics have been adapted to extensive-form games represented in sequence...
متن کاملReplicator Dynamics with Frequency Dependent Stage Games
We analyze evolutionary games with replicator dynamics that have frequency dependent stage games. In such an evolutionary game, the payoffs of a strategy at any point in time are functions of the strategy shares given by the players’ strategy choices at that time. This framework is suited to model feedback effects between population variables and individual incentives, indirect network effects,...
متن کاملMulti-Population Replicator Dynamics with Changes of Interpretations of Strategies
In this paper, we propose multi-population replicator dynamics with changes of players’ interpretations. We consider that each population has various interpretation functions and choose one of them depending on payoffs. We propose a model representing changes of the interpretation functions according to the payoffs. Moreover, we apply our proposed model to a well-known example of a hypergame “S...
متن کاملMultilevel Selection in Models of Prebiotic Evolution II: A Direct Comparison of Compartmentalization and Spatial Self-Organization
Multilevel selection has been indicated as an essential factor for the evolution of complexity in interacting RNA-like replicator systems. There are two types of multilevel selection mechanisms: implicit and explicit. For implicit multilevel selection, spatial self-organization of replicator populations has been suggested, which leads to higher level selection among emergent mesoscopic spatial ...
